SurveyMonkey is the name most people picture when they hear the word survey, and the product matches the reputation: a large template library, question types built for research rather than for lead capture, and reporting that assumes you will analyse the answers rather than just read them. Ease of building is its quietest strength — a first survey goes out without instructions.
The pricing is where attention is needed. The free tier allows ten questions per survey, which is a real constraint rather than a volume cap. Above that, the same platform costs ninety-nine dollars a month billed monthly, or thirty-nine a month billed annually for a considerably larger response allowance. Paying by the month therefore costs roughly two and a half times as much for less, and only one of those numbers appears in most write-ups.
What you give up is control over the form itself. Appearance is good out of the box and controlled through themes, so a survey looks professional and unmistakably looks like a SurveyMonkey survey, and the layout is not yours to rearrange.
